I've done plenty of the tough B and C side levels, but what I really find enjoyable is just re-playing the A sides.Įasily the best Mario Kart game. They all support each other very inventively. Fun varied worlds.Ĭeleste is a perfect combination of story, theme, and gameplay. I enjoyed getting moons but also staying in the level to continue on. This game really outlined the next generation of 3D Mario. It's both a complete overhaul visually and an adherence to the original in all other elements. I think this remake was done really well. Here's where this list becomes apparent that I'm not just listing off the usuals or reciting Metacritic. Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario 64 are both some of my all-time favorites. And, of course, the gameplay loop is fantastic. There's always more tales to hear and background to learn. And even more awesome, there's soooo much dialogue. It is all well-written and excellently develops the many characters. ![]() Even the little rewards of finding a new bug or cool landscaping are enjoyable. The developers clearly had a goal of making this game all about exploration, and I love it. Oddly enough, the stark contrast to the typical Zelda conventions had me not loving BOTW initially. I know I'm a day or two late, but I thought I would share my favorite games.
